Meet the team
Omland Sanctuary was founded by Omkaro (a.k.a. Roger Miller) along with a circle of ministers, healers, and friends who share a deep devotion to awakening, healing, and community life.
Together we bring decades of experience in:
-
Meditation and contemplative practice
-
Trauma-informed healing and spiritual counseling
-
Music, ceremony, and creative arts
-
Community building and retreat facilitation
We see ourselves not as owners of a project, but as guardians of a vision that wants to be born through many people. Our intention is to co-create Omland with all who feel called—residents, visiting practitioners, donors, and allies from around the world.

Omkaro
Om Karo is a spiritual healer, meditation teacher, mystical musician, and Life Transformational Counsellor. He has spent 40 years involved on the spiritual path. He has spent time with many enlightened mystics and teachers and trained in various energy work practices. As a musician he lead a well known amazing ecstatic dance band for 8 years, spreading transformational energy.
He has lived in many spiritual communities around the world, from India, to Holland, and California.
For several years he owned and ran Omland, a community in Middletown Cal, near the famous Harbin Hotsprings. It was a small private retreat center and community, with 8 permanent residents and many revolving guests. unfortunately this community burnt down in the Valley Fire of 2015. While it was operating, he brought many people together with his events, and has a reputation as a community builder. He has learned a lot about community, and has the skill necessary to hold and manifest this vision.
Duija Ros
Duija has been on a path for spiritual awakening her whole life and has lived several years in Spiritual Communities and Co-housing situations. She has worked and lived with different awakened teachers and is trained in Counseling, Energy work and meditation. She has had her own practice for almost 10 years where she teaches people about Awakening and Embodiment. She has lead groups and retreats for Embodiment and Healing.
Duija feels called to lead others in a new reality of living from the heart, a space where we can connect with people from vulnerability, openness and caring while taking responsibility of the parts in us that are hurting. In embracing our own humanness we can embrace others as well and in this way we can walk each other home.

This journey took him to many places around the world in which he did many workshops focusing on ‘primal feelings’, Tantra, breath work and much more. His extensive travels and consciousness expanding experiences gave him deep insights. Among the places visited and the workshops and trainings are: Osho Multiversity in Poona, India. Humaniversity in Holland Sky Dancing Tantra Institute Harbin Hot Springs Pacha Mama Community, Costa Rica Compassionate Inquiry Intensive with Dr. Gabor Mate In Jivan’s work, he combines his therapeutic skills with his life experience into a unique and powerful offering - diving into the core of the childhood wounding, looking at the limiting beliefs that those wounding creates and finding resolution and healing to these wounds while releasing those limiting beliefs.
